A water main break on Pilgrim Mill Road on Wednesday afternoon could cause traffic delays.

The main water line burst in the eastbound lane at the intersection with Holtzclaw Road. The lane is blocked, but traffic is being shifted into the left turn lane.

Tim Perkins, director of Forsyth County's water and sewer department, said the issue was caused by an air relief vaulve stuck in the on position on the raw water line.
