UPDATE: Authorities say that a suspect was taken into custody at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. 

Forsyth County authorities say that they are currently searching for a man that allegedly attempted to pass a forged check at a local bank on Wednesday afternoon. 

According to a Forsyth County Sheriff's Office social media post, the man fled on foot from deputies after being confronted about an alleged forged check at the SunTrust Bank on Post Road in southwest Forsyth.

The post states that the man was last seen running towards the Polo Fields subdivision behind Onelife Fitness off Majors Road, and has been described as a 5-foot-11-inch black male wearing a black shirt and black jeans.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone that makes contact with this individual to call 911.
